CAUSE STRATEGY PARTNERS

Since 2015, Cause Strategy Partners has bridged the gap between corporations and nonprofits, placing over 3,100 professionals on boards through their award-winning BoardLead platform. This partnership has been transformative for The Family Center, resulting in the election of seven board members and six Leadership Council members. These leaders have provided critical resources and expertise, directly enabling the expansion of The Family Center's mission and impact.

Kiana Muschett-Owes

Brooklyn native Kiana Muschett-Owes, aka “Katie O”, founder of Katie O Soul Food Restaurant, turned her lifelong passion for cooking into a powerful mission for community care. In response to the pandemic, she launched the non-profit Soul Food to the People, which has provided over 220,000 free meals to food-insecure New Yorkers. Since partnering with The Family Center in 2024, she has co-hosted an annual Thanksgiving feast for over 1,400 community members.

Dear Guests,
Welcome to The Family Center’s 2026 Spring Soiree, and thank you for being with us this evening.
Tonight is about the real impact The Family Center has when it steps in to support individuals and families at their most vulnerable moments. You will hear that impact reflected directly from our keynote speaker’s story, a family kept together because of the advocacy and legal support provided by The Family Center.
Thank you to our generous Spring Soiree sponsors and Gala Committee for making this evening possible. We invite you to explore our silent auction travel experiences, which support The Family Center’s work while offering the opportunity for unforgettable European adventures.
Enjoy a wonderful evening,
Monique Jean2026 Gala Chair & Board Member
P.S. While the Soiree ends tonight, your impact doesn't have to. Follow us on social media to see how your support changes lives throughout the year:Dear Guests,
Thank you for being here tonight. Your support of our mission is more vital than ever.
Tonight, you will hear The Family Center’s resilient clients tell their heartbreaking and heartwarming stories of resilience and overcoming trauma. The Family Center’s expert staff provide critical services to these individuals and families as they face life-altering events. Working together with our clients, we forge paths towards healing, stability, and a fulfilling future for them and their families—this is our mission, which you fuel by your presence here tonight.
In 2025, 100% of children stayed safely in their homes for the fourth year in a row—meaning no Family Center child experienced the trauma of foster care or juvenile justice. Also last year, our attorneys secured a combined nearly $3M in benefits for clients, such as reinstating wrongly terminated food stamps, and in savings for taxpayers by preventing expensive shelter stays and foster care placements.
These are just a handful of the Family Center accomplishments YOU make possible. Thank you for investing in our work through the Spring Soiree!
In gratitude,
